Colwith forms part of Neaum Crag House, a beautiful old stone manor house, within the scenic private grounds of Neaum Crag estate. We are located yards from Skelwith Bridge and Loughrigg Tarn and just two miles from Ambleside, Grasmere and the Head of Lake Windermere
In the Heart of the Lake District, Colwith offers ETC 4 Star rated luxurious self catering accommodation for four people and benefits from the shared use of an indoor heated swimming pool and games area. For families, we can also provide a cot, high chair and a baby carrier free of charge

Riverside Self Catering Cottage
Accommodating up to 4 adults and one baby - and dogs are welcome too - Riverside Cottage is a well-equipped cottage with real character - ideal for self-catering holidays in the Lake District. This charming cottage was built around 1872 and overlooks the River Brathay and Skelwith Bridge, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. It is an ideal base for touring, with most of Lakeland's favourite sites within easy reach.
The Self-catering Accommodation
The accommodation leads from the front door to a small inner hallway and into a good sized sitting/dining room with cloaks/storage cupboard off.
The fully fitted Oak kitchen is equipped with:
electric cooker - refrigerator (with freezer box) - automatic washer/dryer - microwave oven - dishwasher
Upstairs are:
one double or twin bedroom (which can also accommodate a cot), overlooking the River Brathay - one twin bedroom at the rear of the cottage - fully tiled bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin.
Outside
At the front of the cottage is a patio/barbecue area and garden with lawn. To the rear is a private parking area for one car (other parking by arrangement) and a small outside store ideal for bikes etc..
