Great Langdale

Road side Parking is not allowed in Great Langdale but there is adequate pay and display:

The Old Dungeaon Ghyll hotel has a pay and display National Trust Car park

There are then two other official car parks, a NT one next to the Stickle Barn and a National Park site opposite the entrance to the New Dungeon Ghyll and the Stickle Barn

Chapel Stile and Elterwater

The businesses in Chapel stile have great parking for their customers and then further public car parks can be found at:

Walthwaite Bottom and also by the village green in Elterwater.

If you are planning to walk around Elter Water then you are best to park in the NT car park at Neum Crag on the main Langdale Ambleside road just before Skelwith Bridge

Other parking is limited and best avoided as congestion follows people parking off road and on the verges.

Little Langdale

Has good private parking for the business but no main public car parks other than parking up by Blea tarn which is NT and plentiful
